Let MSRA pay your way to this year's Mid Atlantic Stream Restoration Conference! 

The Maryland Stream Restoration Association (MSRA) is making available to two lucky students, a free registration to the Mid Atlantic region's premier conference on the topic of stream restoration.  This conference brings together many of the leading stream restoration professionals on the east coast and beyond.  Please visit the conference website at www.midatlanticstream.org  for information regarding presentations and sponsors that will be at the event.  

If you are interested in attending please submit a 1 Page letter describing the following

1.      Why is stream restoration important to you

2.      What do you hope to get out of the conference, and

3.      Provide your current stream restoration knowledge or skills.

The write up should be emailed to Shannon Lucas, President of the MSRA at shannon.lucas@kci.com.  The submittals will be reviewed and evaluated by the executive committee of the MSRA and winner will be selected. 

The registration only covers the cost of admittance to the conference and NOT food or lodging.  

The deadline for submittal is Friday, August 25, 2017 and a decision will be made Friday September 1, 2017.  

MSRA is looking for a stream restoration site for our Summer Field Trip which will take place sometime between late August and early September.

We are looking for a stream restoration site, preferably in the northern Baltimore area, which encountered some unexpected challenges during/after construction (like structure failures which had to be addressed during or after construction). We are also interested in showing off a stream that exhibited challenges of any sort during the design or construction process.
