Maryland Stream Restoration Association
“an association of professionals dedicated to healthy streams through the advancement of stream restoration science”
Workshop Description: This two-day HEC-RAS training provides agency users with an introduction to the basics of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers HEC-RAS (Hydraulic Engineering Center’s River Analysis System) software, insight into one-dimensional and introduction to two-dimensional steady and unsteady flow calculations, and guidance on model development. This class will utilize HEC-RAS, Version 6.6. Participants should download this application through the “U.S. Army Corps of Engineers website” application prior to the start of the class.
The target audience is engineers with some familiarity in hydraulic analysis concepts and/or practice. Though exposure to the software is helpful, it is not necessary that participants have prior HEC-RAS experience for this training. The class employs lectures followed by self-paced class exercises.
